Kevin Lwango started judo in 2004 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). He currently holds the rank of shodan (1st degree black belt). After moving to the America, he joined the John Jay College of Criminal Justice judo team where he trained under sensei Alberto Gotay. Kevin has competed in several local and regional tournaments including, Nagabayashi judo championship, Princeton Invitational, Tech judo. Now as an instructor, he looks forward to sharing his experience and knowledge with other aspiring judokas at the House of Goju. Kevin keeps on honing his judo skills by attending seminars and workshops at various dojos in the New York area namely, Bronx judo, Kokushi Budo Institute, and Oishi judo.
